Tucked away in Bunjakovec, one of Skopje’s most peaceful neighbourhoods, is Ulica 22. “Ulica” means “street” in Macedonian, and this little café truly feels like your favourite corner of the street, the one you keep coming back to.
The coffee
Let’s start with the most important thing: the coffee. And the coffee here? Really, really good! My favourite is the macchiato. It is the one I order every single time, and it never disappoints. If you are a coffee lover, this is a must-try.
The vibe
The vibe at Ulica 22 is so cozy that you will want to stay for hours. The neighbourhood is calm and quiet, far from the city noise, so you can really rest your eyes and recharge your batteries.
But the real magic happens in autumn. The café is surrounded by small trees. You barely notice them at first, but when autumn comes… the leaves start falling everywhere around you, even on top of you while you sip your coffee. It feels like a scene from a fairytale!
And when the weather gets colder? No need to worry: they have blankets, so you can wrap yourself up and enjoy your coffee outside, even on chilly days.
