Menu photography for Wolt, Google Maps and printed menus

In a delivery app, the photo is the dish. Nobody can smell it, nobody sees it carried past their table. There is a small square picture and a price.

That is why a menu needs to be photographed as a set. Twenty dishes shot on twenty different days, in different light and from different angles, look like twenty different restaurants.

The Menu package covers the whole list in one shoot: 40 edited photos in the same light, the same style and the same framing.

Where menu photos are used

  • Delivery apps such as Wolt, where every item can carry its own photo.
  • Your Google Maps profile, which is often the first thing a new guest sees.
  • A printed menu, or the QR menu on the table.
  • Your website and your social media, from the same set.

How to prepare for a menu shoot

Make the list before the day

Decide which dishes are being photographed and in what order. Cold dishes and drinks that hold their look go first, anything that melts, wilts or sets goes straight from the kitchen to the table.

Pick a quiet time

A menu shoot takes about half a day and needs the kitchen to send dishes out one after another. A slow morning works far better than a lunch rush, and it has the light I need.

Plate it the way it is served

The photo in the app is a promise. A guest who orders from it should recognise what arrives, so the portion and the plating in the photo should be the ones your kitchen sends out every day.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use the photos on Wolt?

Yes. The price includes use in delivery apps, along with social media, your website and your menu.

How many dishes can you photograph in one shoot?

The Menu package is 40 edited photos from about half a day of shooting. If your menu is longer, each extra photo is 400 MKD.

Do I need a photo of every dish?

In a delivery app, as many as you can. An item without a photo sits next to items that have one, and it is the easiest to scroll past. For a printed menu a selection of your strongest dishes is usually enough.

What does menu photography cost?

The Menu package is 14,000 MKD for 40 edited photos. A smaller menu fits the Standard package: 20 photos for 8,000 MKD.
