Yufka Pizza — Pizza Flavour in 30 Minutes, No Dough

Yufka in a tray with kulen and cheese on top

Craving pizza but it’s too hot to make dough? This turns homemade dried yufka into a pizza-flavoured tray bake, topped with kulen, in half an hour.

I experimented with getting a pizza taste out of homemade dried pasta (yufka) — and I loved it! Not only did it take me just half an hour, but I also got exactly the pizza flavour I wanted, thanks to the kulen. Pizza flavour in half an hour, in summer? Pretty good deal for me!

Servings: 4
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:

300g Yufka

700ml boiling water

1tbsp salt

1tbsp oil

For the top: kulen, mushrooms, cheese and oregano

Preparation:

  1. Spread the yufka on a baking tray and bake at 180 °C for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. Meanwhile, bring a pot of water to the boil and add the salt and oil.
  3. Once the yufka turns a reddish-golden colour, pour the boiling water over it.
  4. Let the water evaporate, then take the tray out of the oven.
  5. On top, add sliced mushrooms, oregano, cheese and slices of kulen.

Bon appétit!
