PERCEIVE THE BEAUTY IN THE PICTURESQUE NOVI SAD, SERBIA
Serbia’s second heart lies in its second-largest city, Novi Sad. With the beautiful blue Danube flowing through it, this city is one of the most picturesque places in Serbia.

On the right bank of the Danube stands the impressive Petrovaradin Fortress. With its endless tunnels and underground passages, this fortress is one of the main attractions in Novi Sad.

From the fortress, you can see the famous “Drunken Clock” or “Reversed Clock”. Locals call it this because it changes slightly depending on the temperature. When the weather is cold, it runs a few minutes behind, and when it is hot, it runs a few minutes ahead.
Another unique feature of this clock is the size of its hands. The hour hand is longer and the minute hand is shorter. This design was not accidental—it was created so that Danube sailors could read the time from a distance.

Speaking of architecture, Novi Sad is filled with typical Central European buildings, especially in the city centre, where 19th-century architecture dominates.

You may feel as if you are in Prague rather than Serbia, as the architecture of Belgrade and Novi Sad is completely different.

When in Serbia, Novi Sad should definitely be on your list, as the entire city is filled with an indescribable energy that will leave you with unforgettable memories.
