DAZZLING ADVENTURE IN SOFIA, BULGARIA
Girls might get angry, but no girl in Bulgaria is as beautiful as Sofia. As soon as your eyes catch the first glimpse, a new adventure begins!
Sofia is the capital city of Bulgaria, and here I am to capture the atmosphere of our unforgettable adventure.
The whole itinerary was organised by my friends who live in Sofia and are perfectly familiar with this remarkable city.
First, they wanted to give us a warm welcome and took us to one of the most elegant restaurants in the city.
The restaurant is called Happy Bar & Grill, so expect nothing less than leaving the place full of happiness. The food was impeccably delicious, and the atmosphere more than graceful and aesthetic. I personally enjoyed every second spent there!
Afterwards, we passed by one of the largest Orthodox cathedrals in the world—Alexander Nevsky Cathedral!
You should definitely take in the sight of this Neo-Byzantine masterpiece of architecture.
It is dedicated to the Russian prince and military leader Alexander Nevsky, as well as the Russian soldiers who died during the Russo-Turkish War, after which Bulgaria was liberated from Ottoman rule.
Then, we went to Independence Square (Ploshtad Nezavisimost), which is one of the main squares in Sofia and a popular place for both tourists and locals.
I don’t know whether it has to do with the name, but you will certainly feel a sense of freedom from anything that bothers you, at least for a few moments, while enjoying the beauty around you.
While strolling through the streets of Sofia, the next day we came across a botanical garden, so we decided to go inside. We didn’t regret it at all, as we had the opportunity to walk among various plants and flowers, which gave us a refreshing feeling. It was a fun and green experience.
We also stopped at Starbucks, so we didn’t miss the chance to try one of the most recognisable coffees in the world. As expected, it was more than just divine!
Our day was made even more fun with another activity—bowling. It was filled with laughter and unforgettable moments.
I absolutely enjoyed the whole game and recommend that you gather your friends and go as soon as possible!
The next day in Sofia, 30.07.2023, was one of my favourite days of my life! We were about to attend a concert by one of the most popular pop-rock bands in the world!
Yes—it was Imagine Dragons!!! They came to Sofia for the first time! We were all incredibly excited and couldn’t wait for the night to come.
And when the moment finally arrived, I couldn’t believe my eyes and ears. I was finally attending a concert by my favourite band that I had been listening to for years.
It was more than magical—the atmosphere was indescribable!
They were on their Mercury World Tour, performing songs from their latest album as well as all their biggest hits from previous years. It felt like a dream! I still can’t fully capture the magic of that night through words or pictures.
Sofia offers unforgettable moments that will blend beautifully into your life story. These moments grow with you and become a unique and lasting memory.
